Angels are real because Jesus said so, and people have met them...

"​Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (Luke 15:10)

"The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers." (Matthew 13:41)

"See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 18:10)

And Zechariah said to the angel, "How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years." And the angel answered him, "I am Gabriel, who stand in the presence of God; and I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news." (Luke 1:18-19)
